Bloomfield Yachting
Boat care and management. Intermediary charter brokerage.
Ask us what we do and the honest answer is: everything. There is not much on a boat we cannot figure out, oversee, or get hands on with ourselves.
It started with a 13ft Boston Whaler and a twelve year old who was allowed to take it out alone. Twenty years later that has become a team well versed in boats of every size, and in the people who own them: musicians, movie stars, athletes, and everyone in between. We have run boats for owners who were rarely aboard and for owners who were never off them, and learnt that both want the same thing. To know the vessel is right, without having to check.
We look after boats for owners who run their own. Regular checks. A wash before the weekend and a rinse after. Safety kit and paperwork kept in date. Contractors found, booked and watched. Set up before you use the vessel and put to bed after. Winter care. And an app that shows you all of it from wherever you are: what is coming up, what has been done, what the vessel needs, with photographs from every visit.
Separately, we broker charters. If you want a yacht for a week somewhere warm, we find the right vessel, introduce you, and step back. We do not own or operate charter yachts and we do not hold your money.
Membership is by invitation, after a conversation. The first meeting is free, usually at the boat, and we go through everything: the safety kit, the documents, what the vessel needs, what you want from us. If it is a fit, you are invited. If it is not, no harm done and we will still tell you what we noticed.
Access to the app is US$ 9.99 a month and gives you the vessel register, expiry dates and a way to ask us for anything. Membership tiers sit on top of that and bring priority, better rates, a set number of washes, oil and maintenance checks, and discounted set up before and after you use your vessel. We explain the tiers at the consultation, not before, because the right one depends on the boat.
Wherever the boats are. We are launching on the south coast of England and in Antigua, and the app works anywhere with a signal.
