Yacht management in Antigua
For owners who want the vessel run properly while they are somewhere else.
Bloomfield Yachting manages yachts in Antigua for owners who are rarely aboard. One point of contact, a set routine, and a report with photographs after every visit, so you know the vessel is right without having to ask.
What yacht management covers
Management means we take responsibility for the vessel between your visits. The scope is agreed at the first meeting and written into the plan, but it normally includes the following.
Scheduled checksBilges, lines, fenders, batteries, shore power, mooring and moisture. Monthly, fortnightly or weekly depending on your tier.
Maintenance schedulingEngine hours, servicing, antifoul, rigging, safety kit and certificates tracked in the vessel register with reminders before anything falls due.
ContractorsFound, booked, briefed and watched. We know who does good work in English Harbour, Falmouth and Jolly Harbour and who does not.
PaperworkRegistration, insurance, cruising permits and survey dates kept in date. Expiry lights in the app, email reminders before they turn red.
Set up and put to bedThe vessel ready when you land. Systems checked, provisions sorted if asked, tender down. Washed down, flushed and secured when you leave.
Owner reportingDated photographs and notes from every visit in the owner app. Nothing is reported as done without a picture.
Who it suits
- Owners based in the UK, Europe or North America with a vessel kept in Antigua year round or for the season.
- Owners who run the vessel themselves when here and do not carry full time crew.
- Charter owners who need the vessel turned around and watched between bookings.
- Anyone who has had a bad experience with a boat left unattended and wants it done properly this time.
How the monthly cycle runs
- Scheduled visit. The checklist is worked through on board, photographed and uploaded the same day.
- Anything found is logged as a task with a due date and a cost estimate. You approve in the app before money is spent.
- Work is booked, supervised and signed off with before and after photographs.
- Monthly summary: what was done, what is coming up, what the vessel needs.
Pricing
Access to the owner app is US$ 9.99 a month. Management sits on top of that as a membership tier, priced to the vessel and the visit cadence you want. Tiers run from a monthly check up to weekly visits and bespoke arrangements. We quote after the first meeting, which is free and usually held at the vessel.
Questions
Do you manage yachts in Antigua year round?
Yes. We are based in Antigua and operate through the season and through hurricane season. Owners who leave the vessel here from June to November move to a storm watch routine during those months.
What size of vessel do you manage?
From day boats and sports cruisers to sailing yachts and motor yachts in the 40 to 100 foot range. Larger vessels with full time crew are handled case by case.
Can I see what has been done?
Every visit produces dated photographs and notes in the owner app, with the vessel register showing what is due and what has expired.
Do I have to use your contractors?
No. We will use yours if you have them. We recommend trades we have used and will supervise either way.
How do I start?
