Bloomfield Yachting · Antigua
Management, guardianage and care on the south coast of Antigua.
English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour are where Bloomfield Yachting is based and where most of the vessels we look after are kept. We are on the docks most days, which is the only way guardianage actually works.
English Harbour holds Nelson's Dockyard and the marina inside it, the most sheltered water on the island and the historic centre of Antigua yachting. Falmouth Harbour, a short walk over the hill, is larger and home to Antigua Yacht Club Marina and Falmouth Harbour Marina, where most of the larger yachts berth. Between them sit the yards, chandlers, sailmakers, riggers and engineers that make the south coast the service hub of the Leeward Islands.
Which engineer answers the phone in August. Which berth gets the swell in a northerly. Where the chafe happens on the AYCM finger pontoons. Who to call at the dockyard when the shore power trips at night. None of that is on a website, and all of it is why a local custodian matters.
